  Jane and Marty Schwartz Honored at Sunday on the Sound

Friends of Sustainable Long Island came together on the afternoon of August 12 at Sands Point Preserve to celebrate Sustainable Long Island and to honor Jane and Marty Schwartz.  Over 400 people attended the most successful Sunday on the Sound Sustainable Long Island has ever hosted.

Special guest, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor John Kaiman, was the host for the live auction.  Sustainable Long Island staff had the opportunity to share its programs and achievements. And Sustainable Long Island founding member Marty Schwartz, and his wife Jane, were honored for all that they have done to create a truly sustainable Long Island.

Thanks to the Town of North Hempstead and Nassau County for permitting Sustainable Long Island to hold Sunday on the Sound at the beautiful Sands Point Preserve.  Also, thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate.  It was a wonderful day and Sustainable Long Island is so grateful for all of its friends and supporters for making it all possible.
